Any Lions Club may request a
loan from the Foundation in order to meet immediate local service goals.
The loans must be repaid in order for the Foundation to maintain its
ability to assist other Lions Clubs in the future. Loans are determined by
the total available assets of the Foundation and all loans carry a
specific repayment schedule. Loans do not generally carry any nominal
interest so all payments received are credited toward the outstanding
principal balance owed. However, this practice is subject to change
without notice.
The Foundation may also make grants upon request,
based on available assets up to a maximum $2,000. Grants, if approved, do
not require any repayment.
Any request for funding requires a loan
application or grant request form to be completed. A detailed explanation
of why the club is requesting the funds rather than operating its own fund
raiser must be part of the application. Club Officers are required to sign
the applications. Approved loans also require Club Officers signature on a
repayment agreement.
Applications are available online using the
links below or by contacting via email any of the Foundation Officers or
Trustees listed in the contact section of this site.
